Religious Church Weddings
Our beautiful Cornish marquee venue is so close to the harbour town of Padstow that you can hear the church bells pealing across the fields.
Couples looking to marry in the parish of Padstow will be delighted to learn that there are three picturesque village churches nearby; St Issey, St Merryn and of course Padstow church.
We advise you check with your chosen church to make sure you know their requirements for marrying in church in advance because some churches require couples to attend regular services prior to the big day itself.
Non-Religious Ceremonies in Cornwall
Although Trerethern Farm isn’t currently licenced for wedding ceremonies, if you did want to have a ceremony here at the marquee venue itself, we highly recommend a humanist wedding celebrant who can help you to create a wedding ceremony which is personal to you. Interestingly, humanist ceremonies are already legally recognised in Scotland, but are not currently legally-binding in England and Wales. Because of this you might choose to complete the legal formalities at a Registry Office prior to the ceremony.
Humanist wedding ceremonies can be as formal or informal as you wish, and the beautiful thing about a unique humanist ceremony in Cornwall is that you can choose or write your own promises that you as a couple believe in, and choose to hold your marriage ceremony anywhere. And why not? It’s your day after all. Choose to say, ‘I Do’ in front of your family and friends down by the water’s edge or in the orchard amongst the bluebells and primroses (in spring) with birdsong providing the soundtrack. Our marquee venue is the perfect spot for your very special, personalised wedding ceremony in Padstow.
