About Trerethern Farm

Our Farm Wedding Venue in Padstow

We are extremely proud of what we have created here at our farm wedding venue in Padstow. Trerethern Farm has been farmed by the Geach family for generations and we proudly continue the traditions of our forefathers by responsibly farming the 100 acres of land we have inherited. Friends and locals who come to collect apples from our orchard down by the creek still refer to the spot as ‘Geach’s bottoms’ – a nickname which has been passed down from ye golden olden days!!

The land is lovingly tended and you’ll find that the field itself and approaching roads/paths are kept as tidy and well-maintained as a working farm can be. There is a Tarmac track leading down to the wedding marquee field itself where there is ample parking for your wedding guests, as well as a ‘side track’ which can be utilised by caterers/suppliers. Guests with us can also venture down to the tranquil estuary riverside for photo opportunities as well as a secret location to relax and take in the scenery (See tide times here).

Our son Ross runs Padstow Kitchen Garden which supplies locally grown fresh produce to some of the finest restaurants in the area, including Rick Stein & Paul Ainsworth. You may wish to include some of his produce from the farm on your wedding menu and Ross would be happy to discuss the availability of seasonal varieties with yourselves or your caterers.

Animals on the Farm

Our fine Charolais cattle graze the fields helping us manage the land as naturally possible. We are very proud of our pedigree large black pigs which are reared outside for most of the year, only being bought inside for close monitoring at farrowing time. We like to rear our animals as naturally as possible not using chemicals or grow enhancers. The farm also has free range ducks and chickens which keep us very well in eggs! Our animals grow as nature intended; slowly and freely. They live a stress-free life enjoying the surplus vegetable trimmings from Padstow Kitchen Garden which enhances their balanced diet.

We can supply delicious sausages or half/quarter pigs. You may consider a hog roast for your wedding – a personal touch which we feel adds that local homemade element to your wedding day feast. Please note that we are not a commercial farm and so do not always have a continuous supply so please get in touch to see what we have available.
